What To Expect
We’re so glad you decided to check us out. We know it can feel overwhelming to visit a church for the first time. With that in mind, we want to answer a few questions you might have as you prepare to be a guest at Harvest Church.
What are Harvest’s service times?
Every Sunday, we offer Small Groups, for children, youth, and adults at 9:30am, followed by a Worship Service at 11:00am. During the 11:00am service, we also offer specially designed worship services for our children.
On Wednesday nights at 6:30pm, we have something for the whole family through Family Night at Harvest.
What are Harvest’s services like?
Our services are designed to minister to people at all stages of spiritual development. We want people to have the opportunity to celebrate God together and connect with God and each other in meaningful ways. Our environment is down to earth so you can feel comfortable to participate at whatever level you choose. Before you enter the auditorium, you can grab a cup of coffee or bottle of water in our Main Concourse.
What are messages like?
The messages at Harvest are Bible-based and presented with personal stories and humor. They are communicated in simplicity yet filled with wisdom and grace. Each sermon is specifically designed to meet people where they are in their spiritual development and help them take their next steps.
What kind of music can I expect at Harvest?
Our worship team leads modern worship music mixed with occasional hymns set to contemporary music. We provide excellent quality music while at the same time encouraging the congregation to participate and experience the life and presence of God in an authentic way.
What do I do when I arrive?
From the moment you arrive at Harvest, we want you to feel welcome. If you don’t have children, grab a cup of coffee or bottle of water in the Main Concourse and head into the auditorium. If you have children, one of our greeters in the Main Concourse will personally walk you to The Great Hall where you will be able to check in your children. There your child will be registered and given a nametag with a code. You will be given a tag with your child’s unique code so you can know that you’ll be the only one allowed to pick up your child after service. A greeter will escort you to your child’s class where the Children’s Ministry Team will welcome your child with open arms. If you have questions, stop by the Guest Center in the Main Concourse. Our Guest Center staff will be happy to help you.
What if my children need me while I'm in the service?
Each Sunday, when your child checks in, you will receive a security tag. On that tag you will see a unique code. If your child needs you during the service, your child's code will appear on the main screen in the auditorium.
What is appropriate to wear in church?
We want you to feel comfortable when you attend Harvest, so you can wear whatever you normally wear. You'll see many styles of clothing when you attend, from casual to business professional.
What type of church is Harvest?
Harvest is a Bible-based, Christ-centered, evangelical church with Southern Baptist roots.
What if I still have questions?
We encourage you to call our church office at 817-485-2703. Our office hours are Monday-Thursday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and Friday from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.
